I wanted to experiment with woodblock printing and I needed something to test the whole workflow on. I thought it would be cool to make a Loaded Pictures logo block print for thank you notes and the like. Needless to say I procrastinated for about 4 or 5 weeks after buying the equipment. Finally on Sunday night I decided this was the night to just do it and if it ends up like ass then f@ck it, at least I tried. The whole process was surprisingly easily and quite enjoyable. It feels a lot like sculpting expect on only one plane. Watching the artwork appear out of a lot of little chisels is pretty damn cool. Plus you actually have something tangible at the end of the process, which for a digital artist feels extra cool. There will be more from this medium, that is for sure.
